Universal Studios Florida

What is Universal Studios Florida?

Universal Orlando Resort is one of the most beloved vacation destinations in Florida. It offers two full-sized theme parks, a brand-new water park and a large shopping and dining area. Universal Studios Florida was the first park to open at the resort on 7 June 1990. Almost every ride within the park has a movie theme: Universal Studios features attractions about The Simpsons, Transformers, Men in Black, The Mummy and many more.

Do they have roller coasters?

You shouldn’t visit Universal Studios if you’re looking for magnificent roller coaster credits. The park currently features a very painful one with funky music (Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit), a rather dated indoor coaster (Revenge of the Mummy) and a coaster designed for kids (Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster). The most famous roller coaster is themed to Harry Potter. This British wizard is present at both Universal parks in Orlando, but Diagon Alley at Universal Studios is the most elaborately themed part in my opinion. This section offers an extremely high theming level and hundreds of details. The star attraction in this area is Escape From Gringotts, an immersive dark ride with some unique roller coaster elements. Definitely pay a visit to Gringotts Bank during your time at Universal Studios Florida, but do it as early as possible. Diagon Alley is very popular and queues for this ride get rather long.

Is Universal Studios Florida worth visiting?

Universal Studios Florida is a great theme park and you will definitely experience some world-class rides here. However, keep in mind that most attractions are screen-based. I’m personally not that fond of rides which involve 3D-glasses and that’s why Universal Studios Florida is just a mediocre park to me. This place really lacks a modern, normal dark ride in which you aren’t obligated to put on 3D-glasses.

What are your thoughts on Universal Studios Florida?

Is this the best studio-themed amusement park in the world? Should they add some extra Harry Potter stuff or do you prefer other IP’s? And am I really the only one who absolutely hates Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit? Share your opinion in the comments section below!
